Cultivation Made Simple: Step-by-Step Guide
Initial Setup
-
Unbox your grow bags immediately upon arrival.
-
Gently loosen the gussets (pull the sides apart) to allow proper air circulation through the filter.
-
Place bags on a clean, open shelf in a dry room — never store them in boxes or sealed containers.
-
Let them sit for 7–10 days before inoculation.
-
Always confirm culture sterility with an agar test before use.
Inoculation Instructions
Traditional Method — Precision Inoculation
-
Sanitize the injection port using 70% isopropyl alcohol and eliminate moving air in your workspace.
-
Insert the syringe needle at an angle so the liquid culture flows evenly down the inner edge of the bag.
-
Use 2–10 ml of liquid culture (LC) per bag.
-
Flame-sterilize the needle between inoculations.
-
Keep bags upright with loosened gussets to promote airflow.
-
Once 20–30% colonized, gently mix and flatten the substrate.
-
After full colonization, apply rubber bands at the base to prevent side pinning.
Optimal Fruiting Conditions
-
Temperature: 70–75°F (21–24°C)
-
Humidity: 30–50%
For best results:
-
Keep bags sealed during colonization (no misting or fanning required).
-
Once fully colonized, you can fruit directly in the bag under the same room conditions, or—if fruiting in a tub—cut the bag just below the substrate line and place the block on foil above moist perlite for optimal airflow.
If bags overinflate after full colonization, cut a small 3-inch slit just below the filter to improve air exchange and trigger fruiting.
Pro Cultivation Tips
-
Use bags within 30 days of purchase.
-
Store in a cool, clean area, away from direct sunlight.
-
Use only liquid culture or agar—never spore syringes.
-
Maintain sterile technique during all handling and inoculation stages.
Important Notice
Before inoculating, leave your grow bag on a clean shelf for 7–10 days (never inside shipping boxes or sealed containers).
If you notice any issues before use, send us a video showing the bag and unused injection port—we’ll provide a free replacement.
Please note: Once a bag has been injected with culture, refunds or replacements cannot be issued. Always test your cultures on agar and practice sterile inoculation to ensure success.
