To grow your mushrooms, follow these simple steps:
1. Gently loosen the gussets to allow air to slowly pass through the air filter.
2. Once 20-30% colonization is visible, carefully mix the contents, avoiding the filter area.
3. When the bag reaches 100% colonization, transfer it to a fruiting chamber. An easy option is a plastic bin with eight 1/4-inch holes drilled at mid-level, covered with micropore tape. Line the base with wet perlite for humidity.
4. Place the bag in the chamber and cut an “X” in two spots where fruiting is evident.
5. Maintain the fruiting chamber in a room temperature at 72-75°F with 30-50% ambient humidity for optimal results.
6. Wait, and your mushrooms will be ready to harvest!
