What's Included
Each kit contains 2 × 3 lb sterile grain bags and 4 × 3 lb substrate fruiting bags — everything you need for a successful grow, right out of the box. Depending on variety, each bag will produce 2-4 ounces per flush!
How to Use
Step 1 — Inoculate Your Grain Bags
Begin by loosening the gussets on your grain bag so it sits open and flat. Thoroughly spray the injection port with 70% isopropyl alcohol and allow it to dry for a few seconds. Using a verified-clean liquid culture, inject 1–10 ml through the port using proper sterile technique. Store in a clean, dark, stable environment and monitor for growth.
Step 2 — First Break & Shake
Once your bag reaches approximately 20% colonization, give it a firm break and shake to redistribute the mycelium across the grain. This encourages faster, more even colonization throughout the bag.
Step 3 — Wait for Full Colonization
Allow the bag to reach 100% colonization, then wait an additional 3–4 days to ensure the mycelium is strong and well-established before moving on. This step is worth the wait.
Step 4 — Transfer to Your Fruiting Bag
This step requires a clean, sterile environment. Before starting:
- Put on gloves and a mask
- Spray all bags and your workspace down with 70% isopropyl alcohol
- Work in an area with no moving air (avoid fans, vents, or open windows)
Break up the colonized grain and pour approximately half the contents (~1.5 lbs) into one 3 lb substrate fruiting bag.
Step 5 — Seal the Bag
Fold the fruiting bag down tightly at the very top and seal it using an impulse sealer or secure firmly with a rubber band. A tight seal is important for maintaining the right environment inside.
Step 6 — Mix & Wait for Fruits
Gently squeeze and knead the outside of the bag to evenly distribute the grain throughout the substrate. Then find a good spot for your bag and let nature do the rest — fruits should begin developing soon! Store in an open room with a room temperature or 70-75f and an ambient room humidity for 30-50% for best results.
Clean technique is the foundation of a great grow. Follow these steps carefully and you'll be well on your way to a rewarding harvest.
