Average yield: 1-1.5 pounds wet
Instructions:
- When the bag is 25% colonized with mycelium, mix the contents thoroughly by massaging the bag with the palms of your hands. Then wrap bag tightly around itself and hold together with a small piece of tape.
- Wait until the bag is fully colonized (100%).
- Prepare a fruiting chamber using a 54 Quart Sterilite Gasket Bin.
- Cut 2 holes on the long side and 1 hole on the short side of the bin, each measuring 2-3 inches wide .
- Cover the holes with 3-inch Wide Micropore tape.
- Add a layer of perlite to the bottom of the bin and wet it so it's damp but not floating.
- Place your fully colonized fruiting block on top of aluminum foil, on the damp perlite.
- When you notice fruiting inside the bag, make a small X near that area (up to 4 slits).
- Fruiting will occur through these slits.
- Maintain humidity between 80-90% for optimal growth of Lions Mane.
For optimal humidity regulation, incorporate a compact digital hydrometer into your fruiting chamber. Fine-tune humidity levels by adjusting layers of micropore tape.
